Salons

Salon: a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine taste and increase their knowledge of the participants through conversation. These gatherings often consciously followed Horace's definition of the aims of poetry - "aut delectare aut prodesse est" ("either to please or to educate").


NEOclassical is reviving the salon here in Northeastern Ohio. After you've ventured out-and-about to the various and sundry art exhibits, performances, and events, meet-up for a lively discussion to edify and enlighten.
